Fixing Swing Faults Starts with Fixing Movement

Using Cart GymTM to identify and correct physical limitations

A flawed swing is often just a reflection of a limited body. Over-the-top moves, early extension, loss of posture—all of these faults are common. But more often than not, they trace back to a deeper issue: poor mobility, limited strength, or basic movement imbalance.

That’s where Cart GymTM has changed how I coach. Before we touch a club, I watch how a student moves through a simple band-based warm-up. What they struggle with physically shows up in their swing. Instead of guessing, I’m diagnosing.

I’ve used this approach with juniors, seniors, competitive players, and beginners. Cart GymTM helps me see how the body is moving—or not moving—which lets me customize instruction that sticks. And when a player learns how to move better, they play better.

Before we talk about swing plane, let’s talk about your hips, shoulders, and balance. That’s how we build a more consistent game.

I like to say, don’t waste your strokes at the beginning of a round. Start strong. Warm up right. Your scorecard will thank you.

When my golf students spend just five minutes with Cart GymTM, everything changes. They move better. They respond quicker. They feel the club more naturally.
