Golf Legend

"Life is too short for a bad swing - or a warm gin and tonic. Keep your putts straight and your stories wild."

Mitch Kumpstein, the unsung hero of comedic lore, was born in a dimly lit locker room at Bushwood Country Club, or so he claims. A self proclaimed “putting prodigy” and “ladies’ man trapped in a caddy’s body,” Mitch rose to infamy as the guy who once convinced Judge Smails that plaid knickers were the key to a lower handicap. When he’s not swindling rich golfers out of their martini money or perfecting his “one-waggle swing,” Mitch spends his days penning memoirs no one reads, like From the Fairway to the Freeway: A Life of Bogeys and Bologna.

He’s also known to brag about the moonlit night he spent putting with the Dean’s daughter until the sprinklers ruined his velvet loafers.

Rumor has it he still haunts the 19th hole, sipping gin and tonics while regaling anyone within earshot with tales of the time he “almost” beat Ty Webb in a match – conveniently forgetting the part where he tripped over his own shoelaces on the 18th green.

Mitch Kumpstein: a legend in his own mind and a hazard to every golf cart in sight.
